What is so unique about BudBuds?
- With the unique "nesting" design features of BudBud earbuds, we help to solve your problem of managing unused earbuds. With BudBud Solo, the phone user can listen to phone calls in mono mode using one earbud with no extra earbud dangling, and then release the secondary nested earbud and convert to full stereo listening on a music capable cell phone. With the BudBud Music and Mobile models, two complete pairs of stereo buds are nested into one wearable pair of earbuds, so you can always be ready to share your music with a friend.
With what devices are BudBud earbuds compatible?
- BudBuds come in several popular input device options: the 3.5mm 3-pole plug is compatible with most popular CD, MP3 and DVD players, as well as portable gaming devices; the 2.5mm 3-pole plug is designed specifically for mobile phone units that do not provide true stereo music output; the 2.5mm 4-pole plug, the 3.5mm 4-pole plug and the mini-USB plug are all designed for mobile phone units that have stereo playback capabilities. Be sure you select and use the correct BudBud model for your music playback device or mobile phone.
Where are BudBuds sold?
- S1 Audio's BudBuds are available through our online store, as well as through the select retailers listed in the where to buy page.
Why don't the earbuds fit inside my ear?
- BudBud earbuds are designed to fit gently in the outer portion of you ear opening. This design allows us to provide a slightly larger driver in the bud, allows the user to have a more comfortable, extended listening period, and offers a more sanitary earbud for sharing between users.
What do I do if my BudBud unit breaks?
- S1 Audio offers a limited one year warranty on all BudBud products. Please refer to the Warranty Info page (need link) for further information.
I do not know how to operate my BudBud. Where can I find the instructions?
- S1 Audio provides operating instructions in the User Guide found in the BudBud retail package. If you do not have this, you can find a copy in the User Guide section.
Some of the functions on the BudBud unit do not appear to be functioning properly. Where can I find help to troubleshoot this problem?
- Refer to the product model trouble shooting section in your User Guide that came with your product, refer to the on-line User Guide (need link), or refer to the troubleshooting section below for your specific product model.
I hear no sound from either ear bud:
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into phone.
- Check the volume output of the phone.
- Check the volume control on the BudBud control pod.
I only hear sound from one earbud:
- Make sure the speaker switch on the BudBud control pod is in the stereo position.
When I use only one earbud, the sound is weak or distorted.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the phone.
Callers say they cannot hear me or that my voice is too quite:
- Ensure that the microphone mute switch on the BudBud control pod is in the up position.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the phone
- Ensure that the in-line microphone is positioned properly in relationship to your mouth.
In single user mode, I hear no sound from either earbud:
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the music player device.
- Check the volume output of the music player device.
- Check "1" volume control on the BudBud control pod.
In single user mode, I only hear sound from one earbud:
- Make sure you have a primary earbud in each ear.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the music player device.
In single user mode, the sound is weak or distorted.
- Check to makes sure plug is fully inserted into the music player device.
In dual user mode, my volume control adjusts only one of my earbuds.
- Make sure you have the paired primary and secondary earbuds in your ears.
- Make sure the speaker switch on the BudBud control pod is in the Dual User Mode position.
In dual user mode, the second user does not hear any sound.
- The speaker mute switch must be in the "normal", or up position.
- Make sure the speaker switch on the BudBud control pod is in the Dual User Mode position.
- Have the second user adjust the volume control (marked "2") on the BudBud control pod.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the music player device.
Callers say they cannot hear me or that my voice is too quite:
- Ensure that the microphone mute switch on the BudBud control pod is in the up position.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the phone.
- Ensure that the in-line microphone is positioned properly in relationship to your mouth.
In single user mode, I hear no sound from either ear bud:

- Firmly press and release the call answer/end switch.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into the phone.
- Check the user guide for your phone to determine it capability to function with a remote call answer/end switch.
I hear no sound from either earbud:
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into music player device.
- Check the volume output of the music player device.
- Check the volume control on the control pod.
I only hear sound from one earbud or the sound is distorted.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into music player device.
The Turbo Boost function turns off when I release the switch.
- Not a malfunction – Turbo Boost is designed to be active only while the switch is pressed.
Volume level is lower or sound is distorted.
- Check to make sure plug is fully inserted into music player device.
- Check the volume output of the music player device.
- Check the volume control on the control pod.
- Move the Micro Mute switch to the up position.
Turbo Boost does not function.
- At lower volume levels, the volume increase generated by the Turbo Boost may not be noticeable.

What is your warranty policy?
- The full warranty information can be found in the User Guide for your product (have link). All our products are covered by a comprehensive limited warranty and covers any defects in material or workmanship for one year after your purchase date.
How do I make a warranty claim?
- Fill out the Warranty Claim Form (need link), submit it to us and you will receive an email response with instructions on how to ship your product to us. After we receive your product, we will either repair your unit or replace it with a reconditioned unit. If for any reason you do not receive an email reply from us within 72 hours, please contact customer service at 877-367-9621.

Warranty Claim Form
Use the following form for warranty claims within the USA ONLY
(we cannot handle international claims).

We will respond immediately with an email acknowledgement confirming receipt of your warranty claim form. If the claim is approved, we will reply within 48 hours with a return authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. If the claim is denied, we will reply with an email explaining your options.

Return Policy
Within 30 days of receipt of your shipment, you may return any of the purchased items, for any reason, for a full refund. We'll also refund the shipping cost if the return is a result of our error. Return information can be found on your order confirmation or order invoice.
